TEARS

As I look around
with tear-filled eyes
I see people around me
all wondering why

Gallons of tears spilt

Too much blood already spilt
Some guilt
Scarce joy

I try to find an answer
to the question I want to ask
but my mind is too clouded
with what i said to you last

"I hope things work out for you"
The fateful last words to a friend
I will always live by those words
For I know they will live forever in you

As I look around
with tear filled eyes...
